About ASF Airport Security Force
The Airport Security Force (ASF) is a law enforcement agency responsible for the security of Pakistan’s airports. The ASF is responsible for protecting the airports and the aircrafts, passengers and airport employees, as well as ensuring compliance with national and international aviation security regulations. The ASF also plays a role in counter-terrorism and anti-narcotics operations. The ASF is a civilian organization and is part of the Ministry of Interior of Pakistan, it was initially under the Department of Civil Aviation but later it was placed under the Ministry of Defence in 1983. The ASF is currently led by Major General Zafar Ul Haq HI(M) .
