1. Additional & District Session Judges
- Qualification: (a) He/she must be a member of the Faculty of Advocates of Scotland or hold a legal degree from an accredited university that qualifies them to practice law.
- (b) an advocate who, after enrolling as an advocate, has been actively practicing law for at least two years.
- Age Limit: Age as of May 22, 2023, must be at least 35 and no older than 45. Candidates are allowed to reduce their maximum age by one year.
2. Civil Judges-cum-Magistrates (BS-17)
- Qualification: (a) Advocate (has a legal degree from an accredited university that qualifies him/her to practice law or is a member of the Scottish Faculty of Advocates)
- (b) A lawyer who has been actively representing clients in court for at least ten years, both in the Lahore High Court and in courts below it.
- Age Limit: starting of May 22, 2023, the age limit must be between 22 and 35. Candidates may have their maximum age reduced by six months.
